How to Sing Better
Welcome! I've made this site to give hope to those who can't
sing. Hope you will follow along my story from
being a croaker to someone who can sing quite nicely!
I've always wanted to be able to sing. Always admired those
who could join in a sing along,
or just being able to sing in the shower without the entire
house being evacuated.
How To Sing Better
After not having the courage to sign up for singing lessons
locally, (could not bear to let even the signing instructor
hear me) and after having spent some time on youtube trying
some of the singing lessons there, I realized I needed a real
plan. Something structured that I could just follow.
I searched for quite a long time and finally found the
Singorama Sing Like A Professional program.

The roots of my vocal
hang-ups
I've had a mental block about my singing "skills" since a
child. In 4th grade we HAD to sing solo for the teacher to
assess us. (Why do they do those things to children???) I told
my teacher I could not do it since I had a cold. (I had no
cold, just did not want to be humiliated) Well, that excuse did
not work and the teacher made me sing anyway. After a few
lines, she concluded that I indeed had a bad cold....
....Aaaarrgh!!!
This has stuck with me my entire life.
To make matter worse, and this is kinda funny, I have 3 cats
and one of them used to really hate it when I sang. First she
would come running and meow anxiously. Then, if I kept singing,
she would meow loudly and paw at me, and if that did not shut
me up she would actually use her claws on my leg. That did not
do much for my belief that I could learn how to sing, not to
mention it crushed my already crushed confidence. Even my cat
hurt listening to my voice.
One thing that I've got going for me is that I'm incredibly
stubborn. After talking to a voice pathologist some years ago
at a party where he said that "EVERYONE can learn how to sing.
You just need to find your voice"
OK then. I'm gonna find my voice!!

Singing as an Avenue Of
Expression
You know, the throat is your expressive center. On a
psychological level it is where we express ourselves, not just
when we sing, but when we speak as well. More importantly..

The
Day I Found My Voice
It's been said that we can all learn to
sing. We just have to "Find Our Voice". Well, that's easier
said than done, when you don't even know what it means,
"Finding Your Voice". Do you know what that
means? >> Read More
